Care Assistant for a person, 6hrs/week @ £12.40/hr, in Pudsey, Leeds West Yorkshire - Pudsey - LS28

Job Title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: Ahmed Yar
Location: Pudsey, Leeds West Yorkshire
Job Purpose:
  • Assist the employer and care for them in order to accommodate their social life interests and provide full support.
  • Assist them in the different hobbies and interests they want to pursue.
About the Employer:
  • 38 years old male, loves to participate in many different social activities. Hobbies include bowling, going to leisure facilities such as swimming, restaurants, and cinemas. Enjoys spending time outdoors with family.
  • Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, uses a powered wheelchair, and requires assistance in standing up and moving around. Some ability to walk with the use of crutches. Also has Diabetes and requires help in taking medication on time.
Social/Domestic Duties:
  • Attending different leisure facilities such as bowling, swimming, and restaurants.
  • Attending medical appointments.
  • Visiting family and friends.
  • Going on walks in parks and other places.
  • Support with shopping.
  • Serving food.
Personal Care:

Require support when eating and drinking, administering medication, moving around from place to place, and support in balancing. May require help in performing stretches and exercises to alleviate MS symptoms and fatigue.

Hours of Work:

6 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with flexibility for morning and afternoon hours.

Rate of Pay:

£12.40/hour

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Full First Aid certification.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Great understanding of emotional and behavioral changes (Essential).
  • Confident and patient.
  • Personal car insurance.
  • Ability to swim.
  • Experience in understanding what the employer wants to communicate, even with some difficulty in speaking.
