Care Assistant for 15 yr boy @ £14/hr in Wetherby - up to 15 hours/ flexible. Travel paid. - Wetherby - LS22

Job Description

This is a role to find a confident, enthusiastic PA to help a lovely young man with learning difficulties get out and about safely and provide some respite for the family. He has cerebral palsy, so needs physical support as well as reassurance and confidence to go out. He enjoys swimming, bowling, etc.

Work Schedule

Hours are flexible for the right person but likely to be weekends during term time and daytime in summer holidays.

Requirements

1. Candidate needs to be a driver with access to own car and able to travel to Wetherby.
2. Some knowledge of makaton signing would also be helpful as he is largely non-verbal and communicates through gesture, sign, and via an iPad app.
