Care Assistant Position Details:

Position: Healthcare Assistant

Hourly Rate: £12.50ph weekdays, £13.00ph weekend - will be increasing

Location: Sevenoaks

Hours per Week: Permanent, 36-48 hours per week

Shifts: Days or nights available, 7am-7pm/7pm-7am

About the care home:

An amazing opportunity has become available for passionate care assistants to join Xealthcare's well-respected clients nursing home, offering permanent full-time contracts to cover day or night shifts. The nursing home is located in a rural area within Sevenoaks, and the successful care assistant must drive to be able to travel to this home.

Our care provider's large home offers residential, dementia, and nursing care for elderly residents, tailored to the unique needs of each individual. The care assistants and nursing team take pride in providing a supportive and enjoyable environment where the elderly residents can thrive and enjoy life to the fullest. Following their most recent CQC inspection, the care home has been rated 'GOOD.'

Position: Healthcare Assistant

As a healthcare assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our client's residents. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, supporting daily activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our client's residents and contribute to their health and happiness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
2. Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
3. Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility.
4. Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
5. Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
6. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
7. Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

Requirements:

1. No requirement of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care, but it would be beneficial.
2. Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is preferred.
3. Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
6. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
7. Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
