About Us:

Right at Home Sefton is dedicated to providing high-quality care services to our clients, supporting them to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. We pride ourselves on our professional and compassionate care team, and we are currently looking for Female Care Assistants to join us in providing exceptional support for our clients in Southport and surrounding areas.

Role Overview:

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with their daily personal care and living needs. You will work closely with individuals who require support due to age, illness, or disability, ensuring they are comfortable, safe, and supported in a dignified and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Helping with meal preparation and feeding where necessary.
  • Assisting with medication prompts and reminders.
  • Supporting with mobility, moving, and handling as required.
  • Encouraging and promoting independence and personal choice.
  • Offering companionship and emotional support.
  • Completing daily care records and reporting any concerns or changes in the client's condition.
  • Ensuring the home environment is safe and tidy.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in care or a related field is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of the importance of confidentiality and dignity in care.
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Own transport is desirable due to the travel between clients' homes.

Additional Information:

  • Full-time and part-time roles available with flexible hours.
  • Competitive pay rate of up to £13.25 per hour.
  • 35p per mile mileage allowance to cover travel expenses.
