We are looking for a reliable and responsible person to work within our car parking team. To provide support to maintain an efficient and safe car parking service to staff and visitors across our hospital site.

Working outdoors, you will manually patrol car parks, provide advice to visitors and staff, and enforce illegal parking as required in line with parking regulations and Group Policy.

You will support with traffic management, maintaining an efficient flow of traffic around the site, reporting any safety or traffic incidents.

You will work as part of a team to deliver a professional effective car parking service on a full time basis (37.5hrs)

Main duties of the job

  1. Liaise with staff, patients and visitors to the site to ensure that the Trust’s Car Parking Management Policy is adhered to and enforced at all times.
  2. Manually carry out parking enforcement for vehicles parked illegally in line with Group policy and parking regulations.
  3. Liaise with staff, patients and visitors to the site providing directions and advice on parking.
  4. Report any accidents and incidents occurring within the car parking areas.
  5. Maintain car parking equipment and replace consumables such as pay and display machine ticket rolls.
  6. Complete regular cash collections as part of a team.
  7. Assist with traffic management/placing adequate barriers in the event of traffic incidents.

Person specification

  • 12 months experience of working with the public within the last two years
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to deal with sensitive/emotive issues
  • Ability to be firm/assertive
