Our client, a highly regarded international law firm, is seeking an ambitious Capital Markets & Derivatives Associate to join their leading practice in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled lawyer with 2-5 years' PQE to work on a broad range of complex and innovative transactions, while developing their expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Overview

As a Capital Markets & Derivatives Associate, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional legal services to the firm's impressive roster of clients. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a variety of structured finance, derivatives, and debt capital markets transactions, applying your legal expertise to provide practical, commercial advice. This position offers significant opportunities for career growth and the chance to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate a range of derivatives and structured finance documentation
  • Provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Contribute to the team's business development and marketing efforts
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments in the capital markets and derivatives space
  • Mentor and support junior team members

Requirements

  • UK Qualified lawyer with 2-5 years' PQE
  • Experience drafting and negotiating derivatives and structured finance documentation
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to translate legal theory into practical advice
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Excellent academic record
