In partnership with the Education Centre of Australia (ECA), the University of Tasmania (UTAS) is opening a new study centre in Ultimo, Sydney in 2025; to add to the existing partnership for a UTAS Melbourne Study Centre. The suite of offerings at both campuses includes Business, Health Management, and ICT courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. The portfolio will continue to grow in the coming years.
The Campus Director (Operations) has both a strategic planning and development, as well as a ‘hands-on’ operational role. It has primary responsibility for delivering and/or supervising a range of operational matters: student administration and support services; marketing/recruitment and admissions; student compliance; finance and P/L reporting; facilities management; critical incidents; and workplace health and safety (WHS).
You will be ECA’s senior representative, reporting to the ECA Chief Operating Officer (COO), and will have responsibility for operational management of both study centres in Melbourne and Sydney. The appointee will be based at the Melbourne study centre and will need to travel on occasion to Sydney. The UTAS Melbourne Study Centre will be re-located in early 2025 to a new site at 655 Collins Street/Spencer Street.
The role requires a significant understanding of the international education sector; how universities operate; as well as familiarity with higher education standards and regulatory policies and procedures that guide international student administration. A major focus is on the delivery of an exceptional student experience - working with the UTAS Academic Director/s.
