Campaign Manager

Working model: Remote based role

Job Type: Part-Time, working 1 day a week or 8 hours spread across the week

Rate: £20 - £25 Per Hour

Are you passionate about grassroots and community engagement? Do you want to make a tangible difference in the salon industry by championing fairer tax treatment and empowering local voices? If so, we want to hear from you.

About the Campaign

Our client, a trade association, is driving a grassroots movement to support salon owners in lobbying their local MPs to advocate for fairer tax policies that align more closely with neighbouring high street businesses. This initiative could be industry-changing, and they’re looking for a dynamic Campaign Manager to help make it happen.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Local Engagement: Drive grassroots campaigning by engaging salon owners, local communities, and supporters.
  2. MP Lobbying Support: Guide salon owners to write compelling, personalised letters to their MPs, empowering them to speak up for their businesses.
  3. Campaign System Design: Develop a user-friendly framework or toolkit to streamline the letter-writing and lobbying process for salon owners.
  4. Communications: Craft clear, persuasive messaging for both stakeholders and the public, supporting broader campaign visibility.
  5. Build & Maintain an Engagement Tracker: Manage a traffic light system to monitor the level of participation from salon owners, so the team can follow up strategically and track progress.

About You

  1. You’re a natural organiser and communicator with experience in grassroots campaigning, policy, community mobilisation, or public affairs.
  2. Capable of creating toolkits, templates, and processes that are easy for non-experts to use.
  3. You have a passion for supporting small businesses and understand the challenges faced by those on the high street.
  4. Passion for the salon and beauty industry is a plus.
  5. Experience engaging with MPs, government stakeholders, or advocacy groups is a plus.
  6. Familiarity with Google Workspace (especially Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive) is a strong plus.
