Job description

CAMHS Crisis Practitioner

Tripod Partners are looking for a CAMHS Crisis Practitioner (Band 6 or Band 7) to join a busy team based in Aylesbury. The role involves working flexibly across 7 days, providing urgent mental health assessments and interventions for children and young people experiencing high-risk mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct urgent mental health assessments for children and young people.
  2. Develop care plans in collaboration with young people, families, and external agencies.
  3. Deliver brief interventions to support crisis resolution.
  4. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and external agencies to ensure safe and effective care pathways.
  5. Complete risk assessments and implement safeguarding measures where appropriate.
Position Details:

Location: Aylesbury
Duration: 3 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible across 7 days

Pay Rates:
  1. Band 6: £26.55 per hour (weekday), £32.88 per hour (nights/Saturday), £50.24 per hour (Sunday/Bank Holiday)
  2. Band 7: £30.33 per hour (weekday), £38.21 per hour (nights/Saturday), £50.24 per hour (Sunday/Bank Holiday)
Requirements:
  1. Professional qualification and registration in Social Work, Mental Health Nursing (RMN), or Occupational Therapy.
  2. Experience of working with children and young people who have complex mental health needs.
  3. Knowledge and experience of risk assessment and management.
  4. CAMHS crisis experience, including urgent assessments of high-risk cases.
