Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising classes during teacher absences.
- Managing student behavior and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring students stay on task.
- Supporting students with questions about the assigned work.
- Reporting any issues, such as behavioral concerns, to senior staff.
- Following school policies on safeguarding, discipline, and student welfare.
Skills & Qualities Needed:
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Confidence and the ability to engage with students.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and think on your feet.
- Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, or youth work) is beneficial.
Qualifications & Experience:
- No formal teaching qualification is required, but experience in education is helpful.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is often preferred but not always essential.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
