Cafe Supervisor

Role

We are seeking an experienced Café Supervisor to handle the daily operation of a café and oversee a small team. Someone who is passionate about the food industry and loves working with people, who strives to provide excellent customer service and can take on daily challenges. Duties and Accountabilities

1. Daily running of café operations, responsible for opening and closing the café.
2. Work with a hands-on approach, leading by example.
3. Oversee and assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food regulations and quality standards.
4. Respond to customer needs and complaints.
5. Assist and deal with health hygiene officers.
6. Train and develop staff, bringing out their best potential, focusing on hospitality best practices.
7. Manage inventory levels, ordering stocks/supplies, managing deliveries.
8. Handle cash payments, ensuring amounts tie up with system records.
9. Plan and suggest new menu items and ideas on new products.
10. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café’s environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
11. Other business responsibilities, admin tasks, e.g., bills, staff rotas.
12. Drive sales.
13. Any other ad hoc tasks.

Minimum Requirements

1. Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry.
2. Holds a food hygiene certificate level 2.
3. Knowledge of dealing with health hygiene officers.
4. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
5. Excellent customer service skills.
6. Strong team management skills.
7. Excellent organization skills.
8. Ability to problem solve.
9. Knowledge of food regulations is desirable.
