Job Description
calfordseaden is a leading multi-disciplined construction and property consultancy. We provide a definitive range of services to the UK building and construction industry covering civil and structural engineering; chartered building and quantity surveying; project management; architecture and master planning; mechanical and electrical engineering; sustainability; fire consultancy, building information modelling (BIM); and health and safety.
Role:
This BIM-focussed role delivers MEP CAD, Revit model and drawing production process as part of a small team. The role is to deliver this function with the CAD Manager, setting the standard for efficient high quality drawing and model production with priorities and delivery strategies agreed in collaboration with the CAD Manager.
Our predicted future workload will take place within a REVIT MEP environment, so we're seeking someone with a strong Revit background. The majority of our technical output is biased towards client side advisory services, with design services to RIBA 3 and a RIBA 4A level of detail, with selected projects progressing to a higher level of detail. We do not complete working drawings level of detail or fabrication details. Our strategy is to deliver high quality coordinated information for tender, coordination and third party approval purposes.
Our main operating sectors are the residential sector encompassing housing, student living, care, and mixed use. This represents 90% of current and future workload by sector with generally small to medium size projects to £75m construction value. The remaining workload is within mainstream commercial sectors. A strong background in the residential sector would therefore be beneficial.
This is a hybrid role that can be based in London, Orpington, Cambridge or Birmingham. Previous applicants need not apply.
