CAD Technician - Permanent

(Hybrid - 2 days in office)

Telford/London

Our client specializes in Civil and Structural Engineering, integrating engineers and CAD technicians for a data-driven approach. They combine expertise in structural steel and architectural metalwork to provide high-quality service delivery to the industry. As their team continues to expand, they are looking for a CAD Technician to join the team. Role Description

1. 3D modelling and detailing of structural steelwork in Tekla Structures.
2. Producing general arrangement and fabrication drawings, as well as accompanying reports and files.
3. Ability to import/export reference models.
4. Ability to work under pressure to ensure project deadlines are met.
5. Excellent communication skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Outlook (key business tools).
6. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Liaising with our in-house team of civil and structural engineers as required.
8. Able to liaise with clients, design partners, and site personnel as and when required.
9. Experience with AutoCAD preferred but not essential.
10. Experience with Trimble Connect preferred but not essential.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in the construction industry.

Work Environment

This role is based in Telford with a hybrid working model, including two days in the office and three days working from home. The work environment is collaborative and supportive, utilizing advanced technologies and software such as Tekla for detailing and modelling.
