CAD Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our Sheffield based client on a permanent basis.

CAD Technician – Office Based
Sheffield
£35,000 to £44,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Our client is looking to recruit a CAD Technician to join their expanding team. They are specialists in heart network projects that are both efficient and eco-friendly.

What will the CAD Technician be doing?

• Design and delivery of new energy projects during the pre-construction and construction phases
• Creating high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on supplied designs and making modifications to existing drawings
• Using a variety of CAD software including Revit, 2D and 3D models
• Generating layout drawings from PointCloud files
• Providing accurate, detailed, and to scale drawings
• Conducting site visits and undertaking surveys when required

What we are looking for in the CAD Technician?

• Excellent design, technical, and software skills
• Product manufacturing for bespoke engineering OR civil engineering experience would be beneficial
• 3-5 years experience in a CAD engineering design role
• Ability to produce detailed schematic representations of LTHW, DHW, chilled water, ventilation, electrical, and control systems
• Highly competent in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Revit
• Advantageous to have Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge
