CAD Technician

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a CAD Technician to join an established manufacturing business based in the Dudley area. The CAD Technician will be assisting the Technical Manager and working as part of a busy team. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of CAD and the ability to read drawings.

As the CAD Technician, you will be required to:

1. Re-engineer existing designs to meet requirements
2. Produce designs using Radan to meet product requirements
3. Produce detailed manufacturing and customer drawings (assembly drawings, Bills of material)
4. Develop prototypes where necessary
5. Liaise with Sales & Production departments
6. Work closely with the Technical Manager
7. Update and archive documents

Requirements:

1. A good working knowledge of CAD and the ability to read drawings
2. A good knowledge of the sheet metal process
3. Experience of tooling and nesting (turret punch)
4. Knowledge of SolidWorks
5. HNC/Engineering discipline
6. Full driving licence
7. The desire to develop knowledge and progress
