CAD Technician

We here at Work Lyf Group have a position available for an experienced CAD technician / draughtsman within a well-established design department. The position will be primarily focused on developing new and existing products as well as managing multiple bespoke design projects, mindful of commercial and program constraints.

Salary between £28,000 - £34,000

Ideally, you will have experience using Autodesk Inventor/Solidworks as well as Vault. Experience using Autocad would also be advantageous; however, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Designing new products to a pre-agreed specification.
2. Designing bespoke products to clients' requirements.
3. Producing high-quality 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings to allow for accurate manufacture of component parts.

1. Good working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks.
2. Good working knowledge of general manufacturing and fabrication techniques.
3. Able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
4. Good communication skills to be able to liaise with other departments in a concise and efficient manner.
