CAD Technician

Duties/Responsibilities:

ABOUT YOU

1. Proficient in use of MicroStation
2. Understanding of BIM process and/or have worked within a BIM environment
3. Experience with AECOsim or OpenBuildings is favourable
4. Proficient in use of spoken and written English language
5. Knowledge of Network Rail design and build standards and procedures
6. Ability to work well independently and in a team
7. UK citizen or indefinite leave to remain

ROLE

1. Reporting into the CAD manager
2. Ensure quality of delivery when producing and updating Revit drawings to standards
3. Interact and liaise with internal staff, and sub-contractors or clients where appropriate
4. Develop designs using required CAD systems into quality technical drawings
5. Maintain drawing records and ensure accurate document control
6. Ensuring designs meet client specification and expectation
7. Be innovative and introduce improvements where appropriate to areas of responsibility
8. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
9. Working on Rail focused projects covering signalling, OLE, track, depots, and stations.
10. Working with other like-minded technicians and engineers to complete challenging projects throughout the UK.
