Job description

Cormac & Co are looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join a well-established Temporary Works Engineering team based in Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic group of over 30 engineers and technicians from diverse backgrounds, bringing together expertise to develop cost-effective and innovative solutions. As a key member of the Design Department, you will report directly to the CAD Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce Temporary Works drawings daily to meet customer requirements
  • Develop in-house manufacturing drawings in line with business needs
  • Review your own and colleagues’ drawings for accuracy and quality
  • Assist with one-off project work as required by the Design Manager or Engineers
  • Provide technical support to the Sales Team and external clients
  • Create Revit families aligned with the company’s product range
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • BTEC or equivalent qualification in Engineering
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Problem-solving skills with a technical mindset
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external technical discussions
Desirable Attributes:
  • Commercial awareness within the engineering sector
  • Understanding of Temporary Works design and applications
