Hours: Full time – Monday – Thursday 07:30-16:30 – Friday 07:30-13:00

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a CAD Manager to join our client's successful team in Biggleswade.

About our client

Our client specialises in bespoke staging solutions for the live events industry. They design and provide custom staging products tailored to client needs, such as stages for concerts, festivals, or corporate events.

About the role:

Primarily office-based, this role centres on using CAD software to design staging and fabricated assemblies made from materials like aluminium, steel, and wood. You will create 3D CAD models, generate detailed manufacturing drawings, cutting lists, and files for CNC routers and laser cutters, ensuring designs are efficient for production and assembly. Projects vary widely, including live event staging, integration of video and lighting equipment, and theatrical props.

What we would like from you:

  1. Experience of working in the live events industry or very relevant transferable skills
  2. Knowledge of construction & fabrication techniques in a range of materials, especially aluminium & steel
  3. Good communication skills, both verbally & in conveying written/drawing information
  4. Solid computer proficiency, using a 3D design package such as AutoCAD, Inventor or other Autodesk software – working in 3D environment. Plus Microsoft office suite.
  5. Relevant experience or qualifications in Arts/Design/Engineering/Fabrication/Manufacturing
