SRC Infrastructure has been providing project management and engineering-based advisory, consultancy and managed services solutions to UK infrastructure clients for over 20 years. We are a small to medium sized company that has built a strong reputation delivering multi-disciplinary projects and programmes for private and public sector clients. We carry out multi-disciplinary design packages and support clients with turnkey domain expertise in their teams.

We are currently looking for a CAD Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to achieve year on year growth.

Location:

• London – flexible to travel between SRC Office (Canary Wharf) and various client offices.

Job Summary

The role will involve developing 2D fire compliance plans and building layouts for rail assets including stations and depots from survey reports. You will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of CAD drawings in compliance with relevant standards.

The role will require you to both validate existing drawings against survey reports and develop new drawings.

CAD Engineer Responsibilities:

• 1-2 years’ CAD experience (Bentley Microstation).
• Able to draft and sketch layout drawings from a PDF.
• Able to develop layout drawings based on survey information.
• Knowledge of TfL Fire Compliance Plans, station layout drawings.
• Some knowledge of a Common Data Environment (preferably ProjectWise).
• High attention to detail.
• Able to work collaboratively within a project team.

• Experience as above.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; coupled with an ability to listen.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to meet deadlines, prioritise and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
• Has a strong desire to exceed expectations and deliver work to the highest of standards.
• Good communications skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
• Computer literate and familiarity with MS Office.

Desirable Criteria:

• Familiarity with working in a regulated environment such as the London Underground or other operational networks.
• Knowledge of civil, structures and architectural disciplines in the rail industry.
