Are you an experienced CAD Designer with a strong background in electro-mechanical engineering? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic Custom Products team as an Electro-Mechanical CAD Designer Draftsperson.

The Role:
This position is integral to the design and drafting of custom electro-mechanical projects. Collaborating closely with Project Engineers and Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Designing custom products using CAD software.
2. Preparing schemes, proposals, and layouts as part of the drafting process.
3. Producing electrical circuit diagrams and adhering to industry and drawing office standards.
4. Liaising with suppliers to clarify design requirements and ensuring compliance with project needs.
5. Modifying and revising existing designs as required.

Key Skills and Competencies of the CAD Designer:

1. Strong proficiency in CAD software (2D & 3D).
2. Sound knowledge of technical drawing principles, geometric tolerancing, and relevant engineering standards (e.g., BS308).
3. Analytical judgment with the ability to conduct basic engineering calculations and Finite Element Analysis (desirable).
4. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
5. Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
6. A mechanical engineering background with a focus on electro-mechanical products.

Qualifications and Experience of the CAD Designer:

1. HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
2. Demonstrable experience in precision electro-mechanical design and drafting.
3. Familiarity with a range of materials and manufacturing processes (desirable).
