CAD / CAM Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our local Clients business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in computer-aided design (CAD) and be proficient in using Procut software to create high-quality technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Utilize CAD software to create, edit, and modify detailed drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
2. Convert DXF/DWG files into Procut format for manufacturing processes.
3. Optimize part nesting on plates to maximize material efficiency and reduce waste.
4. Collaborate with engineers, sales, and production teams to ensure project requirements are met.
5. Liaise with customers to resolve any drawing-related queries and provide technical support. (Limited)
6. Continuously develop your knowledge and skills in CAD technology, with opportunities for progression within the company.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in CAD design, with the ability to interpret detailed technical drawings.
2. Procut software experience is preferred.
3. Experience with nesting and part optimization is a plus.
4. Engineering experience is highly desirable.
5. Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and customers effectively.
6. Ability to adapt to new technologies and a desire to improve your CAD expertise.

Location: Oldbury (B69)

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000

Hours: 07:30 - 15:30 Monday - Thursday; Friday 07:30 - 14:30
