CAD/BIM Technician required in London

GVR Solutions are currently working with an existing client of ours who specialise in the drylining sector. They cover a wide range of commercial fit-out projects across London and the southeast. They are looking for an experienced CAD/BIM Designer to join their well-established design team. The right candidate will be able to take a strong lead in projects and have extensive knowledge with all drywall systems.

Responsibilities of the CAD/BIM Technician:
  1. Be responsible for producing and setting out drawings and models for the approval of our clients whilst meeting their specification.
  2. Making sure all elements drawn are priced for and correct.
  3. Liaising with estimating / Surveyors for possible changes to contracts, pricing awareness.
  4. Leading weekly meetings.
  5. Attend project sites to compare drawings and specifications as and when needed.
  6. Working with strict program dates to be upheld.
  7. Keeping track of comments received, checking back to make sure no extras are added.
The CAD/BIM Technician must have/be:
  1. A high amount of experience as a CAD/BIM Technician.
  2. Must be able to demonstrate working for a subcontractor.
  3. Ability to plan workload effectively to design programme.
  4. Ability to work on their own or as part of a design team on specific projects.
  5. Eye for detail and problem solving.
  6. Flexible in approach depending on project specific requirements.
  7. Strong motivation, organisation and communication skills.
  8. The ability to work well under pressure.
  9. A driven attitude.
