Job Title: C++ Tool Developer
Location: Reading, South East, UK
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months

Inside IR35 // No Sponsorship Available // On-site working required

Be part of the team developing a Design and Verification Tool to support multiple HW/RF projects for our 4G/5G portfolio, developed in C++.

Responsibilities:

  1. Software development and maintenance of GUI frontend, XML/SQL backend, RF equipment interface, RF tests, and chipset calibration.
  2. Software postprocessing & visual interface: plotting/PFC.
  3. Interact with various teams like Software Platform team for RF drivers and interfaces, Hardware Platform team for calibration procedures, and Validation team.
  4. Provide broad technical expertise, analyze issues & isolate bugs whether FW, tool, test equipment or HW regression.
  5. Propose future evolution needs, advise prioritization, and implement changes.
  6. Manage GUI interface, documentation updates and be responsive to fix issues as they arise.
  7. Use Excel templates and macros to generate test reports.

Requirements:

  1. Engineering degree/MSc in Computing, Maths or Engineering.
  2. Language C++ - Windows/Linux development.
  3. 7+ years work experience in C++ programming (working on ATE tools in telecoms environment a plus).
  4. ATE troubleshooting and problem solving.
  5. Understanding JSON/SQL.
  6. wxWidgets or QT is a plus.
  7. Basic Understanding RF performance metrics highly desirable.
  8. Understanding of LTE/5G testing is a plus.
  9. Knowledge of production ATE environment, sockets, timing constraints, statistical spread, RMA is a plus.
