C++ Software Engineer (Chromium)

Location: Fareham, Hampshire. Some flexibility with hybrid working.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 plus excellent benefits.

An exciting new opportunity for a C++ Software Engineer to help develop and maintain my client's main browser services. You will join a technically minded development team to evolve their internal technology stack.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and support features for the Chromium based browser
2. Implement security features within the browser
3. Troubleshoot and resolve browser related issues
4. Keep up to date with Chromium development and security patches
5. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Desired Skill Set:

1. Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
2. Strong experience with C++
3. Deep understanding of the Chromium open-source project including customization, build process, and implementation of custom extension APIs
4. Proven ability to write quality, secure code
