The Role Scope

The Buying Assistant will provide administrative support to the Buyers and Buying Department, enabling them to function efficiently.

Role key responsibilities

  • Supporting the administrative requirements of the buyers
  • Order management, including loading orders onto and maintaining the range plan, placing purchase orders, and confirming orders with brands and suppliers
  • Managing the critical path of the product from purchase to delivery and on sale to sell out
  • Monitoring and reviewing the accuracy of product online
  • Tracking, receiving, logging and maintaining the sample library
  • QC and sample fit sessions
  • Competitor analysis and competitor shopping reports
  • Trend research
  • Creating packs and trend boards
  • Liaising with brands and suppliers daily
  • Being the first point of contact for the warehouse
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with brands
  • Assisting other departments with product and brand related enquiries
  • Working with other departments to ensure the brands and products are presented in the best way (photography, marketing)
  • Managing the SKU exception process
  • Preparing reports, updating spreadsheets and databases

  • 2 years administrative experience
  • Proficient in Excel

  • Ability to work well as part of a dynamic team
  • A keen interest in sports and fashion, as well as knowledge of sports and fashion products would be advantageous.
