Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Early Finish!)

The Role - What You'll Be Doing


As a Buyer, you'll report directly to the Sales Director and work as part of a small team. With the potential to be a Buying Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing products to meet demand. Your role will be fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to build strong supplier relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Product & Supplier Management: Take ownership of product categories, negotiate pricing, and manage purchase orders from placement to delivery - including international freight bookings.
  2. Market Trends & Analysis: Use sales reports and performance indicators to identify new trends and opportunities for product development.
  3. Sourcing & Negotiation: Build and strengthen relationships with suppliers, negotiate competitive pricing, and ensure our supply chain remains efficient.
  4. Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams to ensure products launch on time and deliveries meet our client's needs.
  5. Cost Savings & Profitability: Monitor commodity trends and use insights to drive cost savings and improved profits.
  6. Team Support: Provide direction and guidance to administrative team members to ensure smooth operations.

What We're Looking For


  1. Experience: 3+ years of Buying/Purchasing experience (preferably within a fast-paced industry).
  2. Analytical Skills: Strong maths and data analysis abilities with attention to detail.
  3. Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  4. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to build supplier relationships.
  5. Self-Motivated: A proactive problem solver who can manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative independently.
