Buyer / Procurement Officer - EV / eVTOL - Hybrid - Buckinghamshire - £40k

One of our key clients, a leader in cutting-edge technology for the eVTOL & Aerospace sector, is looking for a Buyer / Procurement Officer to support their expanding operations in Buckinghamshire.

As a Buyer / Procurement Officer, you will play a vital role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring essential components and materials to support high-tech development in the EV and Aerospace industries. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, you'll ensure efficient procurement processes that align with business needs and industry standards.

Role Details

Location: Buckinghamshire

Industry: eVTOL (Experience in Automotive, EV or Similar is ideal)

Working Arrangement: 2/3 days on site per week

Salary: £30k to £40k

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement & Sourcing – Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery of critical materials.
  • Supplier Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Cost Control – Monitor and manage procurement costs, identifying opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
  • Inventory & Logistics – Collaborate with internal teams to manage stock levels, track deliveries, and ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Compliance & Documentation – Ensure all procurement activities adhere to industry regulations and company policies, maintaining accurate records.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within the aerospace, automotive, or engineering sectors.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best value for the business.
  • Understanding of supplier contracts, purchasing processes, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams to source specialised components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working in the EV or eVTOL industries.
  • Knowledge of aerospace and automotive supply chains.
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent.
