JOB TITLE: Procurement - Category Manager - Third Party Operations

The COMPANY
Our client is a well-established not for profit trust. They are now one of the UK's largest organisations in their field employing over 4000 people. Our client is looking for a Category Manager - Third Party Operations to make a strategically important contribution to the business.

The ROLE
The Category Manager - Third Party Operations will be required to:

  1. Drive implementation and continually review procurement strategy
  2. Develop supplier relationships
  3. Optimise value and manage risk within the category
  4. Educate stakeholders and promote best practice procurement

This is a hybrid position.

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for a professional Category Manager - Third Party Operations candidate with solid experience of end-to-end Category Management including:

  1. Strategy development
  2. Tendering
  3. Commercial and contract negotiations
  4. Supplier relationship management
  5. Knowledge of key commercial contract risks and opportunities
  6. Experience of health and social care would be advantageous
  7. Strong background in procurement/purchasing/buying roles
  8. Good level of education

SALARY: £50-60,000 Depending on experience

LOCATION: Oxford
This role is commutable from: Oxford, Bicester, Kidlington, Witney, Faringdon, Abingdon, Aylesbury, Didcot, Thatcham.
