Buyer I Belfast I Aerospace I Inside IR35

Hybrid I £280/day I 3 days on-site I 9 months

We are working with a great consultancy who are on the lookout for a Buyer to join their aerospace client for a 9 month contract.

Role Description:

Responsible for sourcing and managing contracts for their products and services. They work to ensure that the client receives the best quality products at the best price, and that all contracts are compliant with the client's procurement processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex calls for tenders including trans-projects, according to GP process, negotiating the offers including terms and conditions.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal conditions and mitigate potential risk.
  • Manage the life cycle of the contracts with suppliers.
  • Lead MFT (Multi-functional teams) meetings with stakeholders for the allocated portfolio of activities, to formulate and implement the procurement strategy aligning with customers' business needs.
  • Contribute to innovation and digitalization in the procurement process through the deployment of state-of-the-art processes and tools.
  • Contribute to budget elaboration within their scope of activity.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain.

Experience:

  • Experience in procurement.
  • Experience in teamwork in an intercultural environment.
  • Project management skills would be a plus.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of financial key indicators.
  • Knowledge of contract management and negotiation.
  • Technical background a plus.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Google Workspace.
  • SAP knowledge would be a plus.
