With over 20 years of expertise in the specialist filtration industry, our client is a global leader in designing and manufacturing innovative filtration systems for a diverse customer base worldwide.

We are seeking a Buyer/Stock Controller to manage inventory effectively and ensure products are consistently available.

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality materials, managing supplier relationships, and working closely with internal teams to streamline procurement and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities - Buyer / Stock Controller:

1. Source and purchase high-quality products and materials.
2. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
3. Oversee stock replenishment using MRP and other inventory management systems.
4. Perform regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels.
5. Analyse sales data and stock performance to enhance inventory and category management.
6. Work with warehouse staff to improve logistics and operational efficiency.
7. Utilise data visualisation tools to present inventory metrics effectively.
8. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including manual handling when needed.
9. Collaborate with team members to enhance the customer experience and support sales initiatives.

Candidate Requirements - Buyer / Stock Controller:

1. Proven experience in procurement, stock control, or inventory management within the manufacturing industry
2. Experience in operating/optimising an MRP system
3. Experience with sourcing and supplier negotiation
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales trends and inventory metrics.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
6. Familiarity with SQL or database management tools is advantageous.
7. Ability to multitask and perform duties effectively with minimal supervision.
8. Commutable to the office in Wigan.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
10. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.

Salary / Package - Buyer / Stock Controller:

1. Competitive salary £35,000 - £40,000 per year
2. Monday-Friday day shifts 40 hours per week
3. 28 days holidays (including bank holidays)
