Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:15am - 5:15pm (45 minute lunch break each day)

Salary: up to £38,000 per annum depending on experience

Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holidays (holiday entitlement would increase up to 26 days in your first 3 years of service), Christmas bonus, office get-togethers and free eye test scheme.

We are looking for a confident and commercially minded Buyer to join a busy Operations team. In this role, you'll be responsible for end-to-end procurement - sourcing quality suppliers, negotiating the best terms, and ensuring stock levels support business demand without waste. In return, the company offers great development opportunities and progression.

Job Duties:

1. Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to meet cost, quality, and reliability standards
2. Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules
3. Raising and processing POs, managing inventory levels, and driving cost savings
4. Staying ahead of market trends and ensuring procurement is aligned with business needs
5. Collaborating across departments and solving supply issues before they become problems

What we are looking for:

1. CIPS qualified or working towards
2. Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role
3. Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
4. Confident working with suppliers and internal stakeholders
5. Organised, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
6. A team player who takes ownership and drives results
