Buyer – London/ Chelmsford

Position: Buyer

Location: Chelmsford or London (Permanent or Freelance)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year or equivalent day rate (Negotiable for the right candidate)

Type: Temporary to Permanent (6 months – 12 months)

The Role
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in procurement across the business, covering materials, labour, plant, and services. You will be responsible for negotiating costs, managing supplier relationships, presenting data and reports to key stakeholders, and overseeing supplier performance. You will also support tenders within a long-term 10-year framework.

This role offers excellent career growth, including the opportunity to progress into a Procurement/ Category Manager position and gain CIPS professional training.

Your Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have 2 - 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying. Industry experience in Rail, Construction, or Automotive (infrastructure) is required.
