Your New RoleOur RFD Beaufort Division in Ellesmere Port seeks a Buyer to join our team. If you're strategic-driven and passionate about procurement, this Buyer role is for you! Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will focus on improving supplier on-time delivery, reducing inventory, and cutting costs. You will also manage and monitor suppliers and contribute to exciting projects aimed at solving problems and enhancing factory performance. Join us for a dynamic role with impactful responsibilities.
What You Can Expect from the RoleKey Responsibilities:- Apply relevant category strategies based on deep understanding of products, processes, and stakeholder needs.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with key terms.
- Define contract requirements and create detailed supplier specifications.
- Analyse buying data, identify variances, and propose opportunities for profitability improvement.
- Resolve queries from internal or external customers and suppliers.
- Identify non-compliance with purchasing policies and regulatory codes, reporting and escalating as needed.
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement by understanding needs and effectively communicating.
The Experience and Skills You Will HaveEssential Criteria- Buyer/Procurement experience
- Experience of using an ERP system (we use IFS)
- CIPS qualified desirable
- Educated to High School level with 2A levels or equivalent
