As a Buyer (Indirect), you’ll be a vital part of the Procurement and Supply Chain team, driving business success and helping my client achieve their objectives. With your strong purchasing expertise, you’ll take charge of managing key categories, leading price negotiations, and collaborating with internal teams and our clients' network to maintain top-notch inventory and ensure timely delivery of critical materials.

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to an exciting and dynamic company that thrives on innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of managing relationships with external suppliers for indirect services.
  • Dive deep into the category, market trends, innovations, and industry best practices to help shape key business decisions.
  • Lead high-stakes strategic and tactical price negotiations to secure the best deals for critical materials.
  • Assess bids, providing recommendations that balance commercial value with technical excellence.
  • Spot opportunities for new suppliers, negotiate favourable terms, and finalize supply agreements, including discounts and volume rebates.
  • Ensure materials are always purchased at the most competitive prices, driving cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Continually refine purchasing methods and challenge the status quo to reduce external spend and boost efficiency.
  • Develop new processes, enhance expertise, and improve systems to support category-driven improvements.
  • Build and nurture strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers, exploring new possibilities and maintaining excellent partnerships.
  • Take charge of cost reporting—monthly, weekly, and annually—offering insights through forecasts and budgets.
  • Play an essential role in supporting the company’s sustainability strategy, contributing to a greener future.
