The opportunity:
It’s an exciting time to join Markel as our business grows. We have an exciting brand-new opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team (3 days in the office / 2 days from home), based in our Manchester office.
This position is integral to our division, serving as the link between our organisation's IT capabilities and business objectives. The role involves overseeing our business systems, optimising business operations, and ensuring effective systems management. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical, business, and interpersonal skills. They should be technically proficient, demonstrating familiarity with software development practices and tools such as SQL and business intelligence applications, to improve productivity and business systems efficiencies.
We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to work with our end users, elicit and document requirements, perform analysis, and support the execution of our backlog, which consists of small enhancements and larger projects. Acting as a liaison between business partners and technical teams, this role ensures that system development and enhancements are aligned with business needs.
