Business Support Finance Assistant

Service Care Solutions are working alongside a local authority in Rutland for a Business Support Finance Assistant (SEN) to join their team on a temporary contract. Please find a description of the role below.

Role: Business Support Finance Assistant (SEN).
Location: Rutland.
Rate: £15.80 - £16 per hour (Umbrella/Limited).
Contract: 5 months ongoing.
Working: Hybrid.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Lead operational support for statutory SEN assessments and the SEN budget process.
2. Manage the service Pupil Database and maintain accurate records.
3. Be the primary point of contact for all queries related to Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
4. Provide efficient responses to parents, schools, and key stakeholders.
5. Monitor and report on financial systems, including income and expenditure.
6. Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to external agencies, including the Department for Education.
7. Organise special educational needs transport in coordination with the School Transport Officer.
8. Manage transition processes for children with SEN moving in and out of Rutland.
9. Oversee school placements and review contracts for accuracy.
10. Coordinate equipment and resources for SEN pupils in collaboration with suppliers and the local authority IT department.
11. Lead and organise SEN Panel meetings and interim cover for the Social Inclusion Development Officer as required.
