Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Charnwood to assist with the appointment of a Business Support and Administration Officer, on a 6-month contract, likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £11.44 - £14.54 per hour

Summary:

  • To provide administrative and general support for the following service areas as and when business needs require: Democratic Services, Election and Electoral Services, and Legal Services.
  • Supporting the Head of Democracy through providing administrative tasks relevant to their role, including matters relating to the Local Resilience Partnership (LRF) and Health and Safety matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and general support (including highly sensitive and confidential work) to the Head of Service, including diary management, arranging meetings, updating records, and producing correspondence.
  • Develop and maintain relevant web and intranet information.
  • Co-ordinate and book training sessions and events for senior managers relating predominantly to Resilience but may include other appropriate training.
  • Undertake work ancillary to the business dealt with by committees, sub-committees, partnerships, and working groups without supervision and undertaking related research.
  • Assist with administrative cover for the legal services team.

  • You should have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires a basic DBS.
