Business Studies & Computer Science Teacher

Location: Waltham Forest

Salary Scale: £185 - £265 per day per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: January 2025

Contract: Long term

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Business Studies & Computer Science Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to students' educational development in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

As a Business Studies & Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Business Studies up to Key Stage 4 and Computer Science to Key Stage 3 students.

Responsibilities of a Business Studies & Computer Science Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Business Studies for KS4 and Computer Science for KS3.
  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of a diverse range of students.
  • Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on students progress and achievements.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to learn.
  • Develop and maintain updated teaching resources and materials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the school s curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to the school s safeguarding and child protection policies.

Required Qualifications for a Business Studies & Computer Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and Computer Science at KS3.
  • Strong subject knowledge in both Business Studies and Computer Science.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and upholding the highest teaching standards.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
