Occupying three beautiful campuses ranging from the urban utopia of London Road, the peaceful parkland of Whiteknights to the riverside retreat of Greenlands, the unique “University in a Park” setting of the University of Reading is an inspiring place to come to work.


This role is to cover maternity leave for the Business Process Manager within the Campus Planning team. The post holder will inspire a team of around 5 roles to deliver excellence to our internal and external customers.


The Business Process team is engaged in developing and operating a series of standard processes in line with wider University policies. The team are key players in the development of automated workflows as part of the implementation of the University’s new CAFM (Computer Assisted Facilities Management) system.


The right candidate will have solid experience in a business support or related activity and experience of team leadership or supervision, ideally in a higher education setting.


You Will Have

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Previous experience of financial procedures and processes to include budget management and financial reporting
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of standard operating procedures to ensure and support best practices
  • Experience in managing, leading and developing a team
  • Excellent communication when working with customers both written and face to face
  • To support the Engagement and Process Manager with the transition to the new CAFM system to ensure processes and financial workflows are in place and in alignment with the broader university.
  • Experience of collating information for reporting purposes
