Job Title: Business Management – Sales Support

Location: Manchester

Reports To: Sales Manager

Job Type: Full-time, 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are a leading provider of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) solutions, committed to delivering high-quality services to our clients across various industries. As part of our continued growth, we are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Business Management Graduate to join our sales team on a 12-month fixed-term contract and gain invaluable experience in a dynamic sector.

Role Overview:
You will play a key role in assisting with daily sales operations, improving team efficiency, and fostering effective communication across internal teams and clients. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate to develop practical skills in business management, sales support, and client relations within the HVAC industry.

This position could include aspects of the following:

  1. Sales Support
    • Assist the sales team with the preparation of proposals, quotations, and presentations for clients.
    • Ensure the customer database is maintained accurately, supporting sales efforts with up-to-date client information.
    • Coordinate product deliveries and ensure order fulfilment is completed smoothly and on time.
    • Track sales progress, performance metrics, and assist in reporting results to the sales manager.
  2. Client Communication
    • Communicate with clients to address inquiries, provide updates on product availability and order status.
    • Support in preparing client reports, presentations, and other documentation.
    • Help organise and schedule meetings between the sales team and clients.
  3. Market Research & Analysis
    • Conduct research on HVAC industry trends, competitor activities, and new market opportunities.
    • Assist in developing strategies to expand the company’s market presence and attract new clients.
    • Analyse sales data and provide insights that can drive strategic decisions and improve sales performance.
  4. Administrative Support
    • Maintain organised records of sales documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards.
    • Prepare regular sales reports for internal review and track performance against targets.
    • Assist with budget tracking and management for sales campaigns and initiatives.
  5. Process Improvement
    • Identify potential areas for process improvement within the sales team and assist in implementing more efficient methods.
    • Support the adoption of new tools or systems that can enhance the sales process.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently when required.
  • A keen interest in the HVAC industry and willingness to learn about the sector.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Previous experience in sales support or customer service (preferred but not essential).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis tools (preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
