Role Overview:

The BM&A function is pivotal in supporting the efficient operation of the equities business. The team provides detailed trading analysis to our sales team, monitors business performance, and manages business initiatives from start to finish.

We have an opportunity for someone to join at a senior level within the Business Management and Analytics function to cover for maternity leave. This opportunity would suit someone with the right analytical and technical ability, looking to develop their career through diverse exposure to all areas of the equities business. With the varied nature of the role ensuring the successful candidate will be at the heart of a thriving organization.

Role Responsibilities:

You will have accountability for (but not limited to):

  1. Support the businesses’ day-to-day needs with ad-hoc analysis to drive business results using various reporting tools and database querying – servicing a broad spectrum of stakeholders including Liquidnet Management & Sales teams and corporate functions.
  2. Ongoing business performance monitoring, competitor/market landscape analysis, product analysis, and the production of performance commentary and analysis.
  3. Update and improve existing equities business processes to help drive efficiencies and ensure alignment with business needs.
  4. Participate in and support numerous business management and governance routines.
  5. Assist in the implementation and provide input to new business initiatives and business change projects – monitoring and tracking progress.
  6. Assisting in the preparation of key internal and external presentations & documents, including marketing materials, town halls, business line operating committees.
  7. Drive account review processes in coordination with regional sales management.
  8. Produce exploratory analysis to drive product effectiveness, client interaction or internal business processes.
  9. Building and maintaining relationships with Liquidnet sales teams, senior management, external partners & corporate functions.

Experience / Competences:

Essential

  1. Interest and proven understanding of global market and Equities trading products.
  2. Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
  3. Analytical Capabilities and Technical Acumen: Proficient working with large datasets and preferable experience with reporting tools such as IBM Cognos, Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, etc. as well as programming languages such as SQL and Python.
  4. Highly organized and focused individual who is able to adapt to current priorities in a dynamic and often fast paced role.
  5. Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, and interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  6. Detail Oriented: Able to respond to requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Independent Ownership: Ability to take ownership and deliver results independently while operating within a cross functional team environment.
  8. Team: must be a team player with ability and interest in participating in new projects and collaborating with other departments across the company.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.).

Desired

  1. Project Management: Possesses ability to outline detailed plans, collaborate with cross-organization partners to execute, monitor progress, enable decisions that unblock issues, and escalate risks/issues.
  2. Current or prior experience in a Business Management / analytics role.
