Business Intelligence (PowerBI) Analyst & Developer
City of London / Hybrid
Permanent
£65,000 – £75,000 pa plus benefits

cer Financial are working alongside a bank who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst & Developer to work with them on a permanent basis. In this role you will assist the Bank in maximising the use of data and analytics to inform business decisions, identify emerging risks and provide analytics to support growth opportunities. You will have strong experience of PowerBI, SQL and Data Modelling, and be able to work from the City of London based office 3 days per week.

The Responsibilities of a Business Intelligence Analyst & Developer Will Include:
  1. Be the lead for the detailed specification, data flow diagrams and modelling of solutions using standard methods as required. You will be the link with business divisions, engineering, testing and service delivery functions that support the deployment of business and technical change.
  2. Develop strategic and bespoke reports to provide business insights in an efficient, visual, and user-friendly format using PowerBI.
  3. Lead on Analytics best practices for a reporting centre of excellence based on PowerBI.
  4. Support business case development through identification and definition of options that will address the business objectives, and the analysis of the costs, benefits, risks and impacts for each option.
  5. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, and articulate findings.
  6. Use data analysis and statistical techniques to interpret the impact of lending parameter changes.
  7. Work alongside Architects and Analysts to drive business value from the Bank’s data warehouse through improving data quality by resolving defects in data.
  8. Seek consensus with departments to prioritise business information needs and align them to centralised reusable components.
  9. Be a key influencer in the Bank to embrace appropriate technology to streamline (and automate) the production of MI and harness the value of the Bank’s data.
  10. Become the lead on demonstrating the benefits of PowerBI and establishing a reporting centre of excellence.
The Successful Business Intelligence Analyst & Developer Will Have:
  1. Very strong experience in Power BI, SQL and data modelling.
  2. Proficient with Azure Data Platform and Visio.
  3. Ideally you will have experience of working within the Financial Services or Banking industry.
  4. Ability to work from the office in Central London at least 3 days per week.
