Business Intelligence Developer

In this role you will:

1. Work alongside a team of data engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of data management solutions, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
2. Develop and implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
3. Design and build infrastructure.
4. Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide insights into business performance.
5. Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, including data anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and data quality problems.
6. Drive technical governance initiatives, including documentation, data lineage, and data access control.
7. Participate in architecture discussions.
8. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
9. Work with a collaborative global team of varied disciplines, skills, and experience.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Sheffield office attendance is mandatory, either 2 days per week, or 8 days per month.
2. Experience with working with Cloud Computing (Google Cloud Platform preferable).
3. Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language e.g. Python.
4. Experience with data processing framework Apache Flink.
5. Experience with workflow management tool Apache Airflow.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
8. Experience with agile development methodologies.
9. Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude.
