Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager (Python)

Location: Leeds

Salary Range: £57,546 - £63,940

Working Pattern: Hybrid Working, Job Share

Job Description Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for our Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) Platform, our mission is to reduce harm to our communities by enhancing the Group's capability to prevent, detect and respond to economic crime.

In this role you’ll:

  1. Lead our Business Insights and Analytics colleagues in the Economic Crime Prevention Platform to support the fight against Economic Crime.
  2. Perform and guide analysis to measure the potential benefits of new tools which aim to prevent fraud and Economic Crime.
  3. Develop innovative solutions which support the monitoring of our Economic Crime Prevention Controls through reporting and dashboards.
  4. Support LBG Customers having better protection from fraud, lower inconvenience from false positives, and better reporting to regulators and crime agencies.
  5. Support the development of junior members of the team and help them to improve their analytical and coding skills.
  6. Work with collaborators across the group to identify requirements and opportunities to enhance our Economic Crime Prevention controls.

What You’ll Need:

We’re looking to recruit a Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager to deliver influential insight through leading a small team of analytical professionals to assess the threat and mitigation of Fraud and Financial Crime.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Data Analysis & Data Visualisation Tools: Experience of applying Data Analytics techniques within a commercial/industrial context, use of PowerBi, Github, Big Query on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  2. Python and SQL Programming: Experience of SQL or BigQuery in real world business application, experience of Python for data analysis and manipulation.
  3. Leadership, Communication & Presentation: Leadership skills, strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, clear and effective communication to convey complex data insights.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Knowledge of Economic Crime Prevention, including an understanding of Fraud Modus Operandi or Financial Crime regulations.
  2. Exposure to Google Cloud Platform.
  3. Experience of using Tableau to present data.
