Business Intelligence Analyst

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary tools and reports to enhance their performance.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs for data analysis.
2. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to visualise key performance indicators.
3. Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets.
4. Utilise SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant information for analysis.
5. Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure effective implementation of BI solutions.
6. Create detailed documentation of processes, including flowcharts using Visio, to support business analysis efforts.
7. Provide insights and recommendations based on data findings to assist in strategic planning.
8. Continuously monitor and improve existing BI tools and processes for enhanced efficiency.

Skills

1. Proficiency in SQL for database management and data extraction.
2. Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
3. Experience with Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and visualisations.
4. Familiarity with VBA for automating tasks within Excel or other applications.
5. Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
6. Ability to vaticinate future trends based on historical data analysis.
7. Knowledge of business analysis methodologies to support project initiatives.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting findings clearly.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
