Data Analyst

Rate: £146.77 per day

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Location: Onsite Basingstoke - some flexibility.

Position Details:

Finance is a critical function within us and the UK sales and marketing affiliate. As an enabling function, the commercial teams rely on a strong finance organisation to be an effective business partner, supporting its day-to-day sales and marketing operations as well as in the development and submission of the financial plan. The local Product Supply and Distribution team is responsible for:

  1. Implementing & managing pricing application, complex rebate schemes and other commercial deals.
  2. Control and support of direct-to-pharmacy supply, ensuring our products reach patients.
  3. Supply chain, replenishment and forecasting – working with the global supply chain functions.

This is a great opportunity to join a role in a finance organisation of a large subsidiary of a US multinational corporation. In this role, the business associate will experience all aspects of the finance team’s operations, particularly in areas of supply chain management and financial partnering with broader business units and supporting the Product Supply and Distribution team to identify potential future process improvements and financial savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive decision-making and improve supply chain efficiency.
  2. Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support various functions within product supply and logistics.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights.
  4. Support the transformation of data analysis processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  5. Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  6. Provide individual support to team members and stakeholders in understanding and utilizing data effectively.
  7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize supply chain operations.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and supply chain management.

Training and development:

Full training on tools, product knowledge and internal systems will be provided within day-to-day functions.

Required Qualification/Characteristics:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in product supply and logistics.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  4. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau).
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  8. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices is a plus.
  9. This is an evolving role and there is opportunity for the right person to bring their own ideas and work to implement them.
