We are looking for an experienced Business Insight Lead to join our marketing team based at our Telford office.
This position bridges data analysis with operational management to support both the Marketing and Sales (SMB & Modular) teams in achieving their objectives. The Insight Lead will play a critical role in managing and optimising CRM systems and tools, supporting lead generation efforts, and ensuring seamless data workflows. They will provide actionable insights and present findings to inform marketing campaigns, track performance, and enhance the customer journey, while also supporting the sales teams with pipeline management and forecasting to drive business growth across hire projects.
As a key partner to the Marketing team, the Business Insight Lead will ensure campaign activity is data-driven and measurable, contributing to the effectiveness of lead generation efforts. For the Sales team, they will oversee pipeline visibility, track lead progression, provide insights and be unafraid of challenging data to enhance sales performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset adept in Microsoft CRM, HubSpot and PowerBI, a passion for operational efficiency, and the ability to communicate data insights effectively to a range of stakeholders, including the senior leadership. By maintaining data accuracy, supporting cross-departmental initiatives, and delivering insightful analysis, this role is instrumental in aligning marketing and sales strategies, ensuring consistent efforts to meet business goals.

What we’re looking for - roles and responsibilities
-Data Analysis and Insights:
- Analyse data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights to inform marketing campaigns and sales strategies.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate findings to Marketing and Sales teams.
- Monitor key metrics (lead generation, campaign ROI, pipeline performance) to measure and improve outcomes.
-Data Operations and CRM Management:
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft CRM system, HubSpot and Darwin Group PowerBI access, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Support the Marketing team with CRM workflows, lead tracking, customer journey information and campaign data analysis.
- Collaborate with the Sales teams (SMB & Modular) to ensure pipeline accuracy.
-Campaign and Lead Support:
- Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure campaigns are supported by data-driven insights.
- Provide trends into lead generation activities, tracking leads through the funnel to optimise performance.
- Assist in audience segmentation, targeting, and measurement for marketing initiatives.
- Optimisation of HubSpot or Spotler email campaigns or workflows and automation.
-Pipeline Management and Sales Support:
- Partner with the Sales team to monitor and analyse pipeline health, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support sales forecasting and performance tracking.
- Challenge incomplete actions or incorrect data input.
- Collaborate with sales stakeholders to align data operations with sales goals.
-System and Process Optimisation:
- Identify and implement improvements to data workflows, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct audits of systems and processes to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Serve as the key liaison for troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
- Act as the owner of CRM, data cleanliness and optimisation along with business GDPR management.
-Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as the primary data contact for both Marketing and Sales teams, offering expertise and insights.
- Facilitate alignment between Marketing and Sales by ensuring consistent and accurate data usage.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, actionable formats.
Experience required:
- Data Analysis and Interpretation - Strong ability to analyse complex datasets, identify trends, and present actionable insights at a senior level.
- CRM Management & Technical Proficiency - Proficient in managing and optimising CRM systems and reporting tools (Microsoft CRM, HubSpot PowerBI), ensuring data accuracy and efficient workflows.
- Process Optimisation - Skilled in evaluating and improving data processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaboration and Communication - Effective communicator at a senior level with the ability to work cross-functionally, bridging Marketing and Sales teams to align objectives.
- Campaign and Lead Management - Expertise in supporting lead generation and campaign activities through data-driven strategies.
- Pipeline Monitoring and Forecasting - Proficient in tracking sales pipelines, providing insights for forecasting and improving performance.
- Problem-Solving - Adept at troubleshooting data issues and implementing solutions to address operational challenges.
- Attention to Detail - High level of accuracy and consistency in managing and analysing data.
- Customer-Centric Mindset - Focused on leveraging data to enhance the customer journey and support business growth.
