The Manufacturing Operations in Wilton, Connecticut is responsible for the production of lithography tools and optical fabrication as well as purchasing and logistics. This position is based in the Plans and Controls group within the manufacturing sector in Wilton, Connecticut.
Modeling includes: Using Tecnomatix Plant Software to model lean cells and identify true statistical throughput of existing facilities (tooling, ovens, assembly, machining, inspection, etc). Identify bottleneck items, work with Production Engineering to propose capital expenditure to increase capacity and quantify each capacity increase.
Coordinate with Central Planning, Finance, and Program Management on the long-term build plan by understanding and tracking the agreed output plan vs actual output. Use Production Engineering labor hour estimates to calculate the required labor in each cell. Track projected labor to actual labor and identify any gaps. Complete analysis and validation of the output and earned labor hour data from various enterprise software packages (SAP ECC, Striped Lightening time tracking, SAP Production Order management). Identify the impact of build plan changes on manpower requirements and create proposals for additional manpower or manpower reallocations. Present observations and recommendations to management. Track implementation and results.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Systems & Analytics or Engineering (Mechanical, Optical or Industrial preferred), or equivalent experience.
