Area to be covered: South

Remuneration: £42,000 - £45,000 neg + uncapped commission giving OTE £65,000 - £80,000+

Benefits: potential £250 car allowance & benefits package

Role Overview

The role of the Business Development Manager – Structural Insulated Panels will involve:

  1. Field sales position selling a high quality manufactured range of structural insulated panels.
  2. Focusing on selling to medium housebuilders, developers, and smaller self-builders.
  3. Going after self-build/small developer projects such as Grand Designs.
  4. Generating specifications and following projects through to completion with contractors and developers.
  5. Handling typical project sizes of 10-60 residential houses.
  6. Managing average order values ranging from £40k-£400k depending on the project.
  7. Expected to generate a territory turnover of £250k per month once established.
  8. Majority of time focused on generating new business relationships.
  9. Covering an area which will incorporate the UK, with a focus on projects in the South of England.

Ideal Applicant

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager – Structural Insulated Panels with:

  1. Construction sales experience selling off-site manufacturing solutions, modular build, OR timber frame systems, OR structural roofing systems/insulated panels.
  2. Experience selling to housebuilders, developers, and smaller residential self-builders.
  3. Specification/contractor selling experience is ideal.
  4. In-depth knowledge of structural systems used in house design/building.
  5. Strong presentation and communication skills.
  6. Tenacity, self-motivation, intelligence, and a strong focus on customer service.
